Project Background
The City of Karratha is developing a 10-year Arts and Culture Strategy (2026–2036) to guide how arts and culture contribute to our community’s future.
This Strategy will:
- Define the City’s cultural identity
- Support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples leadership
- Guide investment in arts, events and creative opportunities
- Strengthen liveability
- Support economic diversification
- Foster a strong sense of identity and pride across our town
The project includes research and engagement to better understand our cultural assets, community priorities, and opportunities for growth. We are working closely with Traditional Owners, artists, young people, and community organisations to ensure the Strategy reflects diverse voices and experiences.
Your feedback will help shape a clear and actionable roadmap, including a five-year implementation plan, to guide how the City supports and grows arts and culture over the next decade.
