Project Background

The City of Karratha is reviewing public transport services and bus stop infrastructure to better understand how people get around and travel across Karratha, Dampier, Wickham, Roebourne and Point Samson. We want to know what’s working well, what could work better, and where improvements are needed and to advocate for better services for our community.

The project includes assessing existing bus stops and transport services to identify key issues such as safety, accessibility, comfort, usability, and connectivity. Community feedback will play an important role in identifying priority locations for upgrades, highlighting gaps in the network, and understanding barriers to using public transport.

The project will also explore how public transport can better support different groups in our community who rely on buses or other alternative transport for everyday travel.

Your feedback will help inform future planning, including where new or improved bus stop infrastructure may be needed, and how public transport services can better meet the needs of the community.

This study will help us understand where improvements are needed and to advocate for better services for our community.

Results will support the City in advocating for improved transport services and infrastructure

The study may inform advocacy for upgrades or new bus shelters, improved comfort and accessibility at stops, and enhancements to overall public transport services.
