Shaping the Future for Our Youngest Community Members

The City of Karratha is developing its very first Early Years Strategy with support from the Local Government Australian Early Development Census (AEDC) Grant Program to create an Early Years Strategy to support the development of children in their early years (aged 0-5) and their families living in the City of Karratha.

Early childhood lays the foundation for lifelong health, learning and wellbeing. That’s why we’re working closely with local families, service providers and children to build a strategy that supports children aged 0-5 to have the best possible start in life.

Community and stakeholders were invited to participate in the Early Years Strategy in April - May 2025.

Community workshops were held from 6 - 8 May 2025 to shape a brighter future for our youngest residents. A registration feature was available via the What We Make It platform. A survey was open until 12pm on Friday, 9 May for those who couldn't make a workshop.
