Help Shape the Future for our Youngest Community Members
The City of Karratha is developing its very first Early Years Strategy with support from the Local Government Australian Early Development Census (AEDC) Grant Program to create an Early Years Strategy to support the development of children in their early years (aged 0-5) and their families living in the City of Karratha.
Early childhood lays the foundation for lifelong health, learning and wellbeing. That’s why we’re working closely with local families, service providers and children to build a strategy that supports children aged 0-5 to have the best possible start in life.
Why does your voice matter?
Whether you're a parent, carer or work in the early years sector, your input will help us:
- Identify the strengths and gaps of services and support
- Understand family needs within the community
- Create solutions that work for the community
so that we can work towards better child development outcomes in the City of Karratha.
How do you get involved?
You can come to a workshop and/or complete a survey.
Join us at a community workshop from 6 - 8 May 2025 and be part of shaping a brighter future for our youngest residents. We will have a survey open from 21 April - 9 May for those who can’t make a workshop or would like to share more with us.
Families, Community, Services Providers and City representatives can attend a community workshop:
