The City’s Playground Renewal Program is an ongoing program within the Asset Maintenance department. Based on an audit conducted every 2 years the life cycle of the City’s playgrounds are determined and scheduled for replacement before they become unsafe or require significant ongoing maintenance. Two playgrounds are due for renewal within this financial year, and we have prepared three concept design options for each playground. We are inviting the Community to vote for their preferred design. These concept design options may look different to the existing play equipment due to innovations in playground design and equipment however, each design option aims to offer a similar level of play experience to the current playground equipment. These renewals do not include significant changes, nature playgrounds or additional amenities including shade sails, seating, or BBQ’s.
