At the August Ordinary Council Meeting, Council endorsed the refined concept design for the Wickham South Park Youth Recreation Area, shaped through community consultation and feedback.

The concept outcome was a combination of Concept Options 1 & 2 as presented to community during initial consultation activities. As part of this project, Council also supported the inclusion of a large shade structure and public toilet facility to enhance the new recreation area.

Construction is anticipated to commence this financial year, with in-principle funding support from Rio Tinto through the Community Partnership Agreement.
