What's happening with this project?
It’s time to turn ideas into action – and your voice leads the way
The City of is working together with the community to create the Ieramugadu (Roebourne) Place Plan – a shared plan for making Ieramugadu an even better place to live, play and work. This plan builds on the Vision the community created through the Strategic Community Plan Review engagement.
We’re here to turn your ideas into practical, community-driven outcomes. This image captures Ieramugadu Community Feedback which was provided during the Strategic Community Plan engagement.
Between July and September 2025, people across Ieramugadu shared their stories, priorities, and hopes for the future. We listened through yarning sessions, local events, online input and conversations with Elders and community organisations.
From everything you shared, six key themes emerged. These themes reflect what matters most to the community:
- Community-Led Development + Governance
- Healing, Culture And Storytelling
- Community Spaces
- Children, Youth And Families
- Infrastructure, Safety And Basic Services
- Visitors and Economic Development
These themes will guide the next stage of the Place Plan. We'll come back to you to explore ideas, test options and continue building the plan together.
